State Party Makes Unprecedented Statement with Pre-Primary Endorsement for Potential Rematch
(Sacramento, CA) – Yesterday, the California Republican Party took the unprecedented step of officially endorsing Senator John Moorlach – pre-primary – for re-election to the 37th Senate District, making available to Moorlach’s primary election campaign the Party’s vast array of resources.
“The Republican Party is united behind Senator Moorlach’s re-election,” said California Republican Party Chairman Jim Brulte. “We will do what it takes to defend Senator Moorlach in the thirty-seventh senate district.”

Senator Moorlach was elected to the 37th Senate Seat in a March 2015 Special Election and is now running for the first full term. He began his career as a CPA and partner in an accountancy firm before being appointed to Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector where he helped guide the County out of its historic 1994 filing for bankruptcy protection. The County exited bankruptcy within 18 months, in 1996.
